Finally got audio and video working again on the media box. Enough to make want to never upgrade.

Standing around while the wife shops part 37.

Sometimes I feel like chucking Linux out the window. Upgrade to the latest Ubuntu and now audio and video are both broken.

Finally got my Google Voice account. Quality to India is good, but not as cheap as calling cards. But a good backup to have.

Having homemade granola and yogurt for breakfast. Hmmmmmm.

Off to the gym. It’s weird, I don’t mind being at the gym, it’s the going to the gym I hate.

Another Spenser book. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a hard-boiled detective novel. I’ve read so many of the Spenser books that I can skim a good chunk of the dialog between the main characters and not miss much.

One day I should really read Parker’s other series.

Found this one at neat, hidden away bookstore near the house. I think I’m going to become a regular there.

Found this in hardback on the bargain table, always a nice thing. I like Gibson, I really need to go back and see if his older books are as good as I remember.

His more recent books have been more akin to contemporary thillers than sci-fi, but I enjoy his ideas and characters.

Another Nightside book by Simon R. Green. Fun, but fluffy.

I started the Nightside series after reading reading one of the short stories in a collection that I borrowed mainly for a Jim Butcher short story. So far I’m enjoying them enough to keep scouring used book stores for them, but not enough to buy new.

More urban fantasy.
