I’ve been working my way through Charlie Stross’ stuff for a while, while some of his stuff I would qualify as merely good, others are can’t-put-the-book-down-great. This is one of the latter.
Set ten years in the future, portable computing is ubiquitous and real-time overlays are common. The book starts off with a bank heist in MMORPG and then takes a turn off to left field.
The book was that much better because I had been planning on waiting for the paperback, but I was able to buy a copy with a coupon for my Sony Reader. However, it’s a keeper and I’ll probably want a hard copy someday.
