Over the Edge of the World

I was browsing around Half-Price one day and stumbled across this book about Magellan and the first circumnavigation. Turns out I didn’t know as much as I thought I knew about it. Only one of the five ships made it back to Spain, less than thirty men survived and Magellan was killed half way through the journey.

A good read.

New Pipes

Last week I worked from home while plumbers replumbed the entire house with PEX, actually PEX-Al-PEX. They also replaced our aging water heater.

So now we have water pressure, no rust in the water, hot water in a few minutes, the attic doesn’t sound like a hailstorm when the water heater refills and we shouldn’t have to worry about 4am leaks.
