Lost Echoes
And along with the new Bujold book came a new Joe Lansdale book. This one is a standalone, not part of his great Hap and Leonard series.
Harry Wilkes gains the ability to see visions of past traumatic events trigged by sounds after a childhood ear infection. Together, they fight crime. Or something like that.
While not a bad book this was far from the best I’ve read by Lansdale. It was bit too short and everything came together a little too neatly. Another hundred pages to flesh out the characters wouldn’t have hurt. Still, it was a good read.
I bought it read on the plane on my next trip, but jumped the gun a bit.
